He studied Biochemistry at the Eberhard-Karls-University Tuebingen, did research and his diploma thesis at Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT) Boston and studied bioenergy conversion for the use in a nano-transport systems during his PhD thesis at Eidgenoessisch Technische Hochschule (ETH) Zurich. He has worked for Technical University of Munich (TUM) together with EUEI PDF (GIZ) on enhancing a Renewable Energy Master’s Program at the University of Zimbabwe and was Guest Editor for the Conference Proceedings of the Africa-EU Symposium on Renewable Energy Research and Innovation
