He received B.E and M.E in Power System Engineering from Annamalai University, India and Doctorate Technology in Electrical Engineering from Cape Peninsula University of Technology, South Africa. He has been a lecturer at the SJECT, Tanzania and Lord Venkateswara and E.S. College of Engineering, India. Since 2011 he has been working as a Lecturer at the Department of Electrical, Electronics and Computer Engineering, Cape Peninsula University of Technology, South Africa. He is a member of the Niche area of Real Time Distributed Systems (RTDS) and of the Centre for Substation Automation and Energy management Systems supported by the South African Research Foundation (NRF). His research interest is in the fields of power systems, energy management systems, parallel computing, computational intelligence and substation automation. He is a member of the Institute of Electrical and Electronic Engineers (IEEE), Institution of Engineers India (IEI), and South African Institution of Electrical Engineers (SAIEE).
