He is currently a Senior Lecturer in the Department of Mechanical Engineering, University of Zimbabwe. He has accumulated a total of 29 years postgraduate experience, 20 years of which in university teaching and research in the areas of renewable energy, water engineering and project management. With background training in civil engineering, he has also worked a further 8 years as civil/water/irrigation engineer for various governmental and non-governmental organisations. He has published several articles in refereed international journals of note, particularly in the area of solar energy, and has also participated in contract research and consultancy related to solar energy resource analysis and system design & performance evaluation.
