The Lesotho Institute of Accountants (LIA) recently hosted its President’s Breakfast, a leadership engagement bringing together senior executives and key institutional leaders to advance dialogue on Lesotho’s sustainable development agenda.
Prof. Leboli Zak Thamae, Coordinator of the Energy Research Centre (ERC) at the National University of Lesotho, was invited to contribute to the session’s expert-facilitated discussions on progress, challenges and strategic pathways toward sustainable growth.
Prof. Thamae’s work focuses on sustainable energy systems at the intersection of technology, policy, regulation and development, with emphasis on energy modelling, renewable integration, rural electrification, electric mobility and community-based solutions. His contribution highlighted the central role of integrated energy systems in enabling economic resilience and long-term sustainability.
The engagement reflects ERC’s continued commitment to supporting evidence-based, inclusive and sustainable energy outcomes through collaboration with government, industry, professional bodies and development partners.
