Dr Al-Mas Sendegeya

He is a Senior Lecturer in Electrical and Electronics Engineering Department at the Kyambogo University, Uganda. He has published widely on Sustainable Energy and Rural Electrification. He has provided consultancy work in the field of engineering training and sustainable energy issues with a number of companies/organisations and development partners on renewable energy projects. He has delivered lectures of sustainable energy in a number of institutions within the region. He has spearheaded the development of postgraduate programme in sustainable energy at NUST. His current research interests and activities are focusing more on societal issues which can be addressed by engineering solutions. Hence the concept of “Social Engineering”, a way forward to address most of the problems retarding African development.
